Visit to Theatre Royal Bury St Edmunds 3rd December 2012
December brought the beginning of panto season and a visit to the Theatre Royal, Bury St.Edmunds.
Yet another wonderful restoration of a building which is now a working theatre and the last surviving
Regency theatre in the country. In festive atmosphere, the theatre manager and volunteer guides took us
into the pit, gallery and backstage giving an informative and hilarious social history of theatre going.
Members enjoyed free time exploring the delights of the cathedral city in the afternoon.
